Choosing Application Period

If your conference end date falls within two application periods, GPSA generally recommends that you apply for the second period. In this case, one application period would be due before you finish the activity and the next available period would be after your trip/activity.

Please apply for the correct travel period. These periods were designed with the intention of balancing the travel grant budget before every application due date.

Below are two application period examples:

Example 1- Trip ends on September 10, 2023

If a student's travel took place from September 4–10, 2023, then he/she would apply for the September (Fall 1) travel period because the travel occurred during that travel period.

Example 2 - Trip ends on November 2, 2023

If a student’s online workshop or certificate period is from September 28, 2023 to November 2, 2023, then he/she would apply for the November (Fall 3) travel period because the online program finished on that travel period.
