Students must travel prior to applying for a GPSA grant.
Keep a record of all receipts, tickets, mileage, etc.
Students may be reimbursed for expenses related to travel & registration only (i.e. food, lodging & printing costs will not be covered).
Travel & Registration Grants

GPSA Provides financial assistance in the form of travel and registration grants for WSU Pullman fee paying graduate and professional students. Grants are awarded for travel in fall, spring, and summer.
To apply for GPSA Travel & Registration Grants, please follow these steps and the policy below.
Check that your travel dates fall within the application's travel period.
Apply on Zoom Grants. Applications are available below.
Please be sure to read all instructions and review the Grant policy before completing your application.
Remember to have your advisor approve the application before the application closes. Upload copies of all receipts, tickets, etc. to the registration.
The committee are composed of GPSA student senators from each college.
Review is administered by the GPSA Travel & Registration Grant Committee.
The review process takes two weeks.
All applicants will be notified of the committee's decision through email.
Students that receive funding must complete their travel reimbursement paperwork within one month of their award notification.
Only students can be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses. Departments that cover travel or registration costs will not be reimbursed through GPSA.

Key Policy Updates (September 12th, 2017)
1) This application has a BLIND review process. Submitting Travel Receipts, Authorized Pre-Travel Authorization Form and the Advisor Approval Form with your name disqualifies your application. However, to collect the reimbursement (if approved) you will have to submit original travel receipts with your name.
- To do this, you may remove your name from scanned copies of your receipt to submit with your application. However, keep the original copies with your name for reimbursement.
2) Graduate Students will need to get their Advisor or Department Chair's approval to submit the application. To do this, Graduate Students will need to download the approval template, have their Advisor or Department Chair sign the document (electonically or by hard copy), and the student will need to upload the signed document to their application.
3) Before students travel they are required to have an authorized pre-travel authorization form from their travel coordinator. They will need to upload this form to submit their application.
**Note on travel approval form: We are requiring this form because aside from it being university policy, it will also ensure that the student has met their travel coordinator. The travel coordinators have expressed much frustration with our travel process, and we believe that a majority of these issues can be resolved by students submitting this form for approval before they travel.**
